AlternativeHeat are driving sustainability forward by partnering with ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ to install 16 dedicated EV charging points at their Banbridge HQ, supporting their net zero ambitions.

AlternativeHeat Installs 16 ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ Chargers

Established in 2005, has grown to become a leading provider of decarbonisation and offsite prefabrication solutions, with close to 400 staff supporting its operations across the UK, Republic of Ireland, and mainland Europe.

As part of AlternativeHeat’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing emissions, they partnered with ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ to install 16 electric vehicle chargers at their Banbridge head office for staff use. This investment marks a significant step in aligning their operations with their environmental goals and supporting the team in making the shift to greener transport.

The company has always believed in practicing what we preach—and sustainability is more than just a buzzword at AlternativeHeat; it’s a core part of their culture and vision for the future. The installation of EV chargers supports their net zero ambitions and complements other green initiatives on-site, including a photovoltaic (PV) system that allows AlternativeHeat to generate, consume, and export excess green electricity back to the grid.

To deliver this project, AlternativeHeat partnered with ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ, who provided exceptional customer service, robust back-office support, and access to an extensive network of EV chargers across the region. ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ delivered a future-proof charging solution that not only meets the company’s current needs but allows for easy expansion as their EV infrastructure—and business—continues to grow.

The impact has already been electrifying! Since installation, the chargers have delivered over 5,137 kWh of clean energy, helping the company avoid 5.1 tonnes of CO₂ emissions—the equivalent of removing a petrol or diesel car from the road for 28,000 km of driving or planting 245 trees. That’s real, measurable progress towards a greener, cleaner future.

When we first installed the chargers, only four or five staff members drove electric vehicles. Now, that number has more than doubled. We believe that by making EV charging available at work, we’ve helped more staff feel confident in making the switch.

- Donal McMullan, Operations Director at AlternativeHeat.

This investment isn’t just about EV charging points—it’s about empowering people, supporting sustainable choices and paving the way for a greener future for all.
